Notice on Recruitment Fraud and Fraudulent Job Offers

It has been brought to our attention that there have recently been instances of fraudulent job offers, purporting to be from Ashley Furniture and/or its affiliate companies. The individuals or organizations sending these false employment offers may pose as an Ashley recruiter or representative and request personal information, purchasing of equipment or funds to further the recruitment process. Be advised that Ashley does not extend unsolicited employment offers. Furthermore, Ashley does not charge prospective employees with fees or make requests for funding as a part of the recruitment process. Recruitment fraud is a scam that could potentially take a number of forms. In all cases, an individual or organization is posing as a legitimate company (such as Ashley Furniture) for the purpose of fraudulently obtaining money or personal information from individuals. This fraud is normally carried out online and could utilize some combination of the following: false websites, fake emails, fake virtual interviews, misappropriating a profile of a company recruiter, etc. These scams have recently become very sophisticated and convincing.
